I’ve always wanted to snow kite but up until yesterday I never managed to make it happen. Over the weekend the summit of Mauna Kea on the Big Island of Hawaii had a pretty solid snow storm! I decided to fly over first thing Monday morning, before the snow melted and go snowboarding and snow kiting. It was an awesome blue sky day with great snow conditions - this only happens at best a couple of days per year here, so I am lucky I was here! I went with Erik Aeder Photography who took the shots and was the designated driver (there are no lifts, you have to drive up to the summit, drop off and meet the car back at the bottom). Probably my only snow this winter and I got it at home! Totally stoked!!
